I wanted to hate this movie. I really did. It seemed, from afar, to represent everything loathsome and vile in
movies today.  Let me explain.

The title of this movie is the tagline for those commercials that try to get people to come to Las Vegas. "What
Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas." OK. Nice tagline. Way to lure people into your city for some illicit fun. Way to
wreck homes, Vegas.

This made me think that the movie was a giant commercial brought to us by the Las Vegas tourism board and
their alleged mob ties. To be fair, the first thirty or so minutes of the movie was a commercial for Las Vegas.
There was a scene where everyone is chanting "Vegas" over and over in a cult-like fashion. All these random
strangers in two separate New York bars are cheering for Ashton and Cameron at approximately the same time.
Sounds a little far-fetched to me.

Then the movie progressed and it became decent. After a night of drunken debauchery, Ashton and Cameron
end up married. In that awkward, awkward morning-after period, Ashton and Cameron win three million dollars,
playing slots.

They have to split the money due to some law about married people sharing things. At their divorce hearing, they
try and divide the money evenly. Dennis Miller, star of The Net and Bordello of Blood, won't let them. He forces
them into marriage counseling. They have to try and make their marriage work if they want to see those millions.
Queen Latifah plays the put-upon marriage counselor.

Cameron and Ashton did a good job of making a run-of-the-mill film better than average. At times, Ashton's
character is almost unforgivably mean for the sake of a few cheap laughs, but he does some nice things later.
Rob Corddry was a laugh riot as the typical, chauvinistic sidekick. In my opinion, he stole the show. Comedian
Zack Galifianakis also puts in an appearance as a down-on-his-luck-type guy. Treat Williams, Dennis Farina and
Lake Bell round out the cast.

The movie wasn't brilliant, but it was enjoyable. If you have a rash or something, this movie would probably help
keep your mind off the itching. The ending was a standard as the Department of Weights and Measurements, and
there were a lack of surprises. Sometimes, however, movies try to toss in stupid surprises, making the movie
much worse than it needs to be; so I'm glad that there were no surprises rather than a stupid surprise. Watch the
film The Mist to see what I mean.

If you have some time to kill or are trying to keep your mind off your urge to smoke cigarettes, this movie is
probably worth seeing. It also makes a good, inoffensive date movie. This movie is definitely worth renting or
seeing in the budget theaters
